Pan American Games 2023 also known as Santiago 2023, is an upcoming international multi-sport event governed by the Panam Sports Organization, scheduled to be held in Santiago, Chile from 20 October to 5 November 2023—the first Pan American Games to be held in Chile and eight in South America.
The Pan American Games provide an opportunity for athletes from the Americas to compete against each other at a high level and gain international recognition. The event also serves as a qualifying competition for some sports for the subsequent Olympic Games.

The first Pan American Games 2023 were held in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1951, and they have since become a significant multi-sport event in the region. In 1999 the event was held in Mexico City and this will be its 17th edition.
The previous edition of the Pan American Games was held in Lima, Peru in 2019, featuring over 7000 athletes from 41 countries competing in 39 sports. The upcoming edition of the games take place in Santiago, Chile in 2023. It will be a significant event for athletes, sports fans, and the host country, as they come together to celebrate athletic excellence and international camaraderie.
It will be a mega multi-sport event where different players will show their talent in different games. Chile will host this event and more than 7000 thousand athletes will participate from all over the continent many of these countries are double as qualifiers for the next Olympics Paris 2024.
